Klee Build Guide for Genshin Ver.3.8 Rerun, Build, Weapons, Artifacts and Teams

Klee is a problem child. She’s no bully, but no amount of telling off can get her to change her ways. She’s hyperactive, fast, and armed to the teeth with explosives and a little too much gunpowder knowledge. If she’s not in solitary confinement for causing some kind of destructive event with her pyromaniac nature, she’s about to cause another.

Beyond Jean, Diluc, and Kaeya, Klee is seen as one of the strongest of the Knights of Favonius, where she holds the title of Spark Knight. She's a free-spirited character similar to her mother, Alice. This means that sometimes she goes a little too much and has to be reprimanded by Jean.

Strengths

  • Easily sets up Pyro Elemental Reactions with explosions.
  • High base Pyro DMG
  • Explosions knock back small enemies.

Weaknesses

  • Short attack range requires good positioning.
  • Party support skill locked behind Constellations.
  • No persistent effects aside from the mines of her Elemental Skill.

ConstellationsKlee Constellations

Similar to other 5 star characters, Klee's constellations are extremely powerful. However, with the low pull rate, it is highly unlikely that players would ever get more than C1 or C2. Coincidentally, Klee's best constellations are C1 and C2:

  • C1: Attacks and Skills have a certain chance to summon sparks that bombard opponents, dealing DMG equal to 120% of Sparks 'n' Splash's DMG.
  • C2: Being hit by Jumpy Dumpty's mines decreases opponents' DEF by 23% for 10s.

For light spenders, this is our recommended stopping spot for Klee's constellations. It applies a huge DEF reduction debuff to enemies, with a decent duration. Furthermore, players can even increase it if they lure enemies into any leftover mine.

Talent Priority

Overall, Klee is one of the few DPS characters that deal damage with her entire kit. However, her skill needs to be prioritized more, as it is her main source of damage early on. Afterward, players can max her Burst and her normal attack.

Explosive charge attacks

Klee's first ascension talent, Pounding Surprise, gives Klee a 50% chance to gain an Explosive Spark buff from normal attacks and skill. This buff empowers her next Charged Attack, increases its damage and removes the stamina cost.

Try to keep an eye out for the glowing flower that appears after her normal attacks as that indicates an Explosive Spark.

Cancel long animations by jumping

To get the maximum DPS from Klee, players need to learn how to cancel animations. Her Normal Attack chain and Charged Attack have long animations leaving you open to enemy attacks.

Just jump and dash a short distance to cancel the animation after firing.

Don't Switch Characters after Elemental Burst

Klee's main source of damage, her elemental burst, automatically turns off if you switch her out of the field. Therefore, it is vital to plan out your rotations and keep Klee on the field until her burst is finished.

Overall, with Klee's Burst being fairly selfish, it is best to build her as the main DPS character of the team. Players would not be able to switch her out like the usual sub DPS.

  • Weapon: Lost Prayer To The Sacred Winds - Increases Movement SPD by 10%. When in battle, gain an 8% Elemental DMG Bonus every 4s. Max 4 stacks. Lasts until the character falls or leaves combat.

  • Artifact: Crimson Witch Of Flames (4-Piece Set) - Pyro DMG Bonus +15%. Increases Overloaded and Burning DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using an Elemental Skill increases 2-Piece Set effects by 50% for 10s. Max 3 stacks.

Teams

Being a Pyro character, Klee can build around Melt or Vaporize reactions. The below lineup is the best Melt comp you can get in the game for Klee.

Klee Vaporize team

  • Klee + Venti + Mona + Bennett

This combo works the same as the previous one, however, the support role is given to Mona instead of Ganyu. Venti plays the same role on this comp, with the 4-piece Viridescent Venerer set.

Mona allows the Vaporize elemental reaction, which is the second-best type of elemental reaction you can get from Pyro, with a 1.5 multiplier. As Mona's elemental skill has a very short cooldown, you can proc the vaporize reaction constantly. Furthermore, it also taunts opponents, making it easier for Klee to unleash her damage.

Klee melt team

  • Klee + Venti + Ganyu + Bennett

Klee is the main DPS of this lineup with her whole kit and the 4-piece Crimson Witch of Flames set. Venti is the main support of this Klee team comp and it is vital that he has the 4-piece Viridescent Venerer set. By triggering Pyro Swirl reaction, you can reduce enemy pyro resistance by 40%.

Ganyu in Genshin Impact: The Ultimate Build Guide - Genshin-Builds.com Wiki Database

Ganyu is Klee's Melt Enabler. This is amongst the best reaction in the game, as you can double Klee's Pyro damage. C4 Ganyu is the best for this task, as her burst would increase the damage taken of opponents within its AoE by up to 25%.

Lastly, Bennett is the healer, buffer and battery of the team. He can further enhance Klee’s overall damage with his elemental burst and the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige.
